Senanga
Horse Safaris offers a memorable experience for your clients - a
natural and environmentally friendly way to view game is on
horseback.
The wildlife is completely unconcerned with the presence
of horses - enabling game viewing from close proximity with
excellent photographic opportunities. It also allows the smaller,
seldom seen species to be found in the thickets and scrub.

Senanga
Horse Safaris is situated next to Spencers Creek Crocodile Ranch and
Nature Sanctuary. Our rides explore the waterholes and animal tracks
along the boundary of the Zambezi National Park and along the
Zambezi River.
We
offer both novice and experienced rides all year round in either the
morning or the afternoon.

ALL
RIDES
On
arrival at the stables, the manager will serve tea and coffee while
each rider is fitted with a suitable mount. The guests will be
introduced to both their guide and groom who will accompany every
ride.
Cold
water will be available during the ride.
On
completion of the safari, guests will be offered soft drinks or beer
depending on which safari they have taken.
Our
guides are informative and knowledgeable on the local flora and
fauna and are keen to answer any questions on their environs.
Big
game is abundant throughout the area - elephant, buffalo and a
variety of antelope are sighted on a regular basis. There is a
bountiful variety of bird life and insects.
GROUP
BOOKINGS
We
can take a maximum of 6 on any one Safari.
Senanga Horse Safaris will endeavor to accommodate special
requests. Full day
rides may be arranged.
COLLECTION
POINTS
Senanga
Horse Safaris will pick up guests from all major hotels and bed and
breakfast establishments. We have given a fifteen minute time
difference to allow collection from different premises so please
bear with us.
All
pick ups will be in an enclosed mini bus.
AGE
LIMIT / HEALTH
Our
minimum age limit is twelve (12) years, however we will accommodate
younger clients if accompanied by an adult.
Guests
should be of reasonable fitness and any medical problems /
conditions are to be advised to the company.
DRESS
CODE
We
would recommend the following:
long
trousers or jodhpurs - neutral colour
closed
in shoes with a heel
WE
PROVIDE
We
provide hard cross-country helmets (a variety of sizes), which we
insist each client wears for their own safety.
Our
saddles are all Australian Stock saddles, which ensure comfort and
safety to clients.
The
guide carries cold water and cups in his saddlebags for the
client’s refreshment on the ride.
We
have waterproof ponchos should it rain.
WHAT
TO BRING
|
We
recommend that clients bring -:
binoculars, cameras, sun block, insect repellent.
Guests
will be responsible for carrying their own personal belongings
whilst riding - we can offer them small rucksacks to place these
items in.
Senanga
Horse Safaris will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to
guests’ belongings. We therefore advise all valuables are left at
the guests hotels \ lodges.
