| SANYATI
LODGE |

|
| Situated alongside the spectacular Sanyati Gorge and sheltered by the Matusadona mountain range. Sanyati Lodge has introduced a new level of sophistication to Lake Kariba, one of Zimbabwe’s major attractions.
The lodge, comprising nine luxury rooms, two suites and a central lounge/dining area has been skillfully designed to merge into the landscape along the lake shore, offering luxurious accommodation and dramatic lake views within an unspoilt and undisturbed habitat. |

|
| A combination of stonewalls, rough plaster, indigenous timber and thatch has been used throughout the lodge. Gardens and indigenous trees surround the individual lodges which overlook the lake, and each one has absolute privacy with undisturbed views through large French doors opening onto a timber deck. |
 |
Guests can watch the stars while taking an open air shower or experience magnificent views of the lake from the comfort of a long relaxing bath. The main lodge is elegantly furnished in shades of cream and ebony with large comfortable sofas, natural fabrics and a collection of African art and artifacts.
Dining takes place on the lower timber deck looking out over the vast expanse of water, and guests can enjoy a five-course dinner by candlelight under the stars. A small well equipped gymnasium helps to work off the pounds gained during your stay, alternatively, you can simply relax and enjoy the superb cuisine and excellent hospitality.
|
|
While Sanyati Lodge provides a peaceful haven for the ultimate in relaxation, there are also plenty of activities for the more adventurous and for those wanting to experience the wildlife that can be found in the Matusadona National Park. Game activities include walking with a professional guide, boat cruises along the lakeshore, game drives, canoeing down the spectacular Sanyati Gorge and fishing for the renowned Tiger Fish. The Lodge is run by Antony and Rosemary Marx who have extensive management experience and are excellent hosts. The staff at Sanyati are always extremely obliging and do their utmost to ensure that your stay at the lodge is a restful and memorable experience.

Lake
Kariba is not only famous for its abundance of big game, it is also
the home of one of the fiercest fighting fish in the world, aptly
named the Tiger. Serious
game
Fishermen, from all over the globe, come to the Lake year after year with only one goal in mind, not for them the lions or the elephants, not even the elusive leopard can catch their attention. They come for the ultimate fishing experience. To catch a Tiger on a fly has to be the pinnacle of any fly fisherman’s career. These aquatic canines provide an unrivaled fight, and it is wise to them with respect, as even once they have been landed their aggression does not subside.
