The Kingdom Hotel - Victoria Falls


The Kingdom is the closest hotel to the actual Falls.  It is situated within the Victoria Falls National Park where game, ranging from warthog to elephant roam freely.  Its distinctive architectural design is based on the Great Zimbabwe monument.  An attractive water feature in the form of a man made lake gives inward facing rooms the impression of having been built on the edge of a lake. 

The train and bus stations, as well as shopping areas are all a stone’s throw away from The Kingdom.  The entrance to the renowned Victoria Falls is just five minutes walk from the hotel.
The Kingdom has a total of 294 rooms with the following facilities:

Sport Facilities

Swimming pool – The Kingdom has a total of four swimming pools including a children’s pool.

Golf – An 18 hole championship course is available at Elephant Hills hotel, 3km away from The Kingdom.  A shuttle bus runs between the hotels every hour on the half hour.

Horse riding – horse riding trails for both the novice and the experienced rider can be arranged with tour operators situated within the Travel Centre of the Great Enclosure.  

Other Facilities

Bank :   Situated with in the foyer of the Great Enclosure is Barclays Bank.  Here guests may cash travellers cheques as well as carry out other money related transactions. For guests’ convenience, the bank also operates an Auto Teller Machine giving guests 24-hour access to their funds.  

Beauty Palour : Housing hairdresser, masseur and manicurist

Business Centre : Secretarial services are available during business hours and weekdays.  Closed over weekends.

Conference facilities : Leambe – main conference room seats 130 pax theatre style.  It has three adjacent breakaway rooms.  Thuli – boardroom seating 14 pax

Jungle Mania : An exciting supervised children’s play area with lots of entertainment and fun activities

Pharmacy/Chemist : Available within The Kingdom’s Great Enclosure

Shops : A selection of up market shops is situated within The Great Enclosure

Travel Centre : Ten reputable tour operators have concession desks situated within the foyer of the Great Enclosure.
