| A
Suggested BUSH
CAMP
Itinerary... |
|
Day 1
Arrive in Lusaka or
Lilongwe airports - a representative from the charter
company will meet you and transfer you onto a light aircraft
to Mfuwe. At Mfuwe International Airport, a
representative from Bushcamp Company/Mfuwe Lodge will meet
you and take you in an open landrover back to Mfuwe Lodge.
|
|
|
Mfuwe Lodge is a
luxurious Lodge situated INSIDE the South Luangwa National
Park, Zambia. It is one of only 2 permanent lodges
inside the National Park. The Lodge is open 12 months
of the year and is surrounded by an excellent all weather
road network, which allows for extensive game viewing by
vehicle. Night drive, dinner and overnight at Mfuwe
Lodge.
|
|
|
Day 2 and 3
The next morning, road transfer to Chamilandu.
Spend the first 2 nights of your Luangwa Encounter, at
Chamilandu exploring the ebony groves and ox bow lagoons.
Chamilandu Bush camp offers the connoisseur comfort class
and beauty in one of the Luangwa's prime river venues.
|
|
|
Open to a 180°
vista, the front of each tree house chalet provides the
exciting frame for all of Luangwa Valleys diversity.
Subtle décor adorns the 2m high tree houses. The
tasteful blend of wrought iron and brass offsets the cream
and pastels that welcome you to rest and relax.
A series of seven ox-bow lagoons yield dramatic habitat
changes and attract an abundance of wildlife
|
|
|
Day 4 and 5
After an early
breakfast at Chamilandu, set off on your walking trail to Chindeni,
arriving in time for a hearty brunch.
|
|
|
Spend 2 nights
at Chindeni viewing the game from your own private raised
wooden decking over the still waters of the lagoon and
exploring the evergreen forests on foot. Surrounded by
majestic hills, shaded by ancient ebonies and nestled on the
apex of an ox-bow lagoon, Chindeni helps weave the spell
that is Africa.
Chindeni will stand proud in your memory as a place of
magic.
|
|
|
Day 6 and 7
Walking south once more, towards the confluence of the
Kapamba and Luangwa rivers, Bilimungwe bush camp
holds the distinction of being the southernmost camp in the
National park.
It offers not only the solitude you have come to enjoy, but
also the ideal opportunity to discover yet another face of
the Luangwa Valley, exploring on foot or in a vehicle.
|
|
|
Bilimungwe's
permanent water hole is a popular venue for wildlife and the
shallow clear Kapamba River offers the perfect setting to
cool down, relax and reflect on the Luangwa encounter that
you have just experienced.
|
|
|
Day 8
Return back by road to Mfuwe Lodge for a night
relaxing in the luxury that is renowned with Mfuwe Lodge.
Mfuwe Lodge sits poised like an island paradise between two
affluent lagoons affording constant spectacular game

winding game loops at your disposal and the high standards
of the lodge, Mfuwe Lodge completes the Safari experience of
